Terms of Sale

About these terms

These terms apply to prints and original paintings bought through www.loomillustrations.com. Commissions and commercial licences are covered by separate written agreements.

Loom Illustrations is run by Abbey Welch, a UK sole trader. Contact me at loomillustrations@gmail.com.

Orders and payment

Product details and prices are shown on the website. The total payable, including delivery and any applicable taxes collected at checkout, is displayed before you place your order. Payment is required at checkout using the available payment methods.

Please check your order and delivery details carefully. Colours may vary slightly between screens and the physical artwork; this does not affect your rights if an item is faulty or not as described.

Cancellations and returns

If you want to stop an order before dispatch, contact me within one hour of placing it. This is the window in which I can guarantee stopping dispatch, provided the order has not already been dispatched. After that, I cannot guarantee that it will not be sent. Once dispatched, I cannot recall the parcel.

This dispatch window does not limit your legal cancellation rights. For standard prints and ready-made originals, you can cancel from placing your order until 14 days after delivery. Email me with your order details and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return the item.

You pay return postage for a change-of-mind return. Please package the artwork securely. I will refund the item price and the basic outbound delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the returned goods. Refunds use the original payment method unless we agree otherwise. A deduction may be made for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the artwork.

Where an item is genuinely made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, the change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply. Your rights regarding faulty or misdescribed goods still apply.

Processing and delivery

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days, excluding weekends and UK bank holidays, and dispatched via Royal Mail. Available delivery services, shipping costs and estimated delivery times depend on the destination and are shown before purchase.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees. If your order is delayed or has not arrived, contact me so I can investigate and arrange an appropriate solution. I remain responsible for the order until it is delivered to you or someone you nominate.

Damaged or incorrect deliveries

If your artwork arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact me as soon as possible with your order number. Photographs of the item and packaging are helpful where available. I will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate, taking account of your legal rights and the circumstances.

Copyright and artwork use

Buying a print or original painting gives you ownership of the physical item. Copyright and reproduction rights remain exclusively with me. The purchase does not grant permission to copy the artwork, make reproductions or use it commercially.

Any commercial licence must be expressly agreed in a separate written agreement. A licence grants only the permissions stated in that agreement and does not transfer copyright unless expressly agreed in writing.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights, including any mandatory protections that apply in your country.
